Vegetable Samosas

Ingredients

  • 2 cups mashed potatoes
  • 1 cup peas
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch ginger, grated
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package phyllo dough or samosa wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, mix mashed potatoes, peas, onion, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, garam masala, and turmeric.
  2. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cut phyllo dough or samosa wrappers into strips. Place a spoonful of filling at one end and fold into a triangle.
  4. Heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Fry samosas until golden brown.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
